Top Alvernia University students received awards for their hard work at the annual Honors Convocation on Sunday, April 17, 2016.

Kutztown University inducted 27 new members into the Alpha Sigma Lambda honor society on Saturday, April 9. Inductees are adult students who have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA and have successfully completed at least 24 credits at Kutztown University.

Lebanon Valley College inducted 141 students to its Sigma Alpha Pi honor society on April 10, 2016, as part of Inquiry 2016. Sigma Alpha Pi is the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success. The Society serves as a powerful force of good in the greater community by encouraging and organizing action to better the world. Students are selected for induction based upon their GPA and level of involvement. The Society is based on six main tenets for achieving success: finding a vision, setting goals, persevering, taking risks, pursuing your passion, and continuous improvement.

Hard work in high school has paid off for college-bound seniors. The following students have earned Merit Scholarships to attend Alvernia University this fall.

Nearly 250 Albright College students were named to the Dean's List for academic achievement for the 2015 fall semester.

More than 700 students from Saint Francis University made one of the Fall 2015 Honor's Lists: Provost's or Dean's. To achieve either list, students must have full-time status and attain a quality point average of at least 3.8 (Provost's) or 3.5 (Dean's) for the given semester. The following local residents were among those from the University who were recently named to one of the Honor's Lists:

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the fall 2015 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

Saginaw Valley State University announced the student recipients of the Deans' List for the fall 2015 semester. To be eligible for the Deans' List, a student must take at least 12 credit hours and carry a semester GPA of 3.4 or better. For more information visit www.svsu.edu.

Springfield College St. Johnsbury Recognizes Dean's List Students for the 2015 Fall Semester.

A Resident Assistant (RA) oversees a floor or wing in a residence hall. The RA serves as a resource for residential students and provides a residential environment conducive to the overall development of students. The RA role encompasses programming, administrative, and student development responsibilities.

Morrisville State College recently announced the students who were named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2015 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve an average of 3.0 to 3.99 for the semester and complete 12 credit hours.

The following students have been named to Alvernia University's Dean's List for the fall 2015 semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on more than 540 students during the summer and fall terms. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees since the summer 2015 announcement. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

Lebanon Valley College students get the chance to play college sports at a high level while pursuing their intellectual and career goals, and enjoying other interests. While competing for conference championships and earning national rankings, our student-athletes have the flexibility to double major, study abroad, and pursue internships--opportunities that will inform their lives long after their playing careers end.

Coastal Carolina University welcomes its newest class of first time freshman and transfer students

The Class of 2019 has arrived at Alvernia University this fall. One of the largest incoming classes in university history, the Class of 2019 also boasts the strongest academic profile of any first year class.

The following students participated in the Social Work Association at Alvernia University during the spring semester of 2015. The Social Work Club enhances professional growth in the human service field, promotes a greater understanding of the social work profession, and offers members the opportunity to interact with the community on a regular basis.

The following students participated in the Science Association at Alvernia University during the spring semester of 2015. Club members foster an awareness of the responsibilities and challenges facing the modern scientist.
