The Dean's List recognizes students who have earned a grade point average of 3.65 or higher in the academic semester.

Nearly 470 students celebrated their academic success and achievements during Lebanon Valley College's 150th Commencement Saturday, May 11, in Louis A. Sorrentino Gymnasium.

Muhlenberg encourages students in every major to study abroad while earning college credit towards their degree. In fact, 58 percent of Muhlenberg graduates from the Class of 2018 studied abroad. The College supports four discipline-specific study abroad opportunities as well as offering over 100 approved programs in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Latin America and Africa.

A total of 1,187 students will receive degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at separate commencement exercises for undergraduate and graduate students on May 10 and May 11. ESU will hold three graduation ceremonies: one for graduate students on Friday, May 10 at 6:45 p.m. and two ceremonies for undergraduate students on Saturday, May 11. The undergraduate ceremonies will take place at 8:45 a.m. (College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education) and at 1:15 p.m. (College of Business and Management and College of Health Sciences). All three ceremonies will be held in Koehler Fieldhouse. A total of 995 bachelor's degrees, 188 master's degrees and four doctoral degrees will be awarded.

Lebanon Valley College inducted 10 students into Gamma Sigma Epsilon, the national chemistry honor society, as part of its Inquiry 2019 celebration.

The Mu Xi chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society at Kutztown University inducted a new cohort on April 16. Congratulations to Jacob Adams, Emmanuel Alden, Katherine Anderson, Caroline Collins, Austin Cory, Austin Crowley, Adam Folk, Molly Hill, Angelo Lucci, Emily Murray, Evan Musto, Matthew Sagl, Shannon Shafnisky and Madison Szczecina. The History Department sponsors the Mu Xi Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the National Honor Society in History. Admission to Phi Alpha Theta is an outstanding achievement based on exceptional academic accomplishment. Phi Alpha Theta was established in 1921 at the University of Arkansas. The society currently has over 900 chapters and 350,000 members. KU's Mu Xi Chapter was established in 1967. Among Mu Xi's charter members were Esther M. Willits, Anthony J. Mazzaferri, Gordon Goldberg and James Collier who have all gone on to become history professors here at Kutztown University.

More than 200 Wilkes University students who received scholarships, along with the donors whose gifts made the scholarships possible, were recognized at the annual Scholarship Luncheon on April 4.

Nearly 200 Lebanon Valley College students representing academic departments across campus displayed their academic and creative work to an audience of faculty, peers, trustees, administrators, industry representatives, and friends of the College during the annual Inquiry Symposium.

Lebanon Valley College presented more than 130 students with awards at the Spring Awards and Recognition Ceremony for academic achievement in the natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities during the annual Inquiry celebration. Students were also recognized with campus awards.

Kutztown University inducted 21 students into the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education at its induction ceremony on Wednesday, April 10. Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. For over a century, the Society has consistently grown, starting with a local chapter to become the international organization it is today, with an initiated membership that exceeds 1.2 million. To be inducted, KU education majors must have a 3.50 GPA.

Phi Alpha Epsilon, the College's honor society that recognizes academic achievement and service to others, inducts its new members.

Sixty-five Wilkes University students were inducted into the Passan School of Nursing during a ceremony on April 7. At the event, students received their lab coats and signed the nursing pledge.

Lebanon Valley College recognized more than 199 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen athletic teams during the winter season.

SUNY Morrisville recently announced the students who were named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2018 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve an average of 3.0 to 3.99 for the semester and complete 12 credit hours.

Elizabethtown College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the fall 2018 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or higher in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

Baldwin Wallace University students staged Moliere's "The Critique of the School for Wives," written as a response to his own "The School for Wives," under the direction of Christine McBurney. The production blends witty dialogue and high society into a unique comedy.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2018 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

The following students have been named to Alvernia University's Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

More than 150 students from Saint Francis University made the Fall 2018 President's List. To achieve this list, a minimum quality point average of 4.000 must be earned on 12 or more credits during a single semester, with no continuing or incomplete grades.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees for more than 450 students for the Fall 2018 semester. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees following the fall 2018 semester. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. Students listed multiple times have been awarded more than one degree. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.
