More than 160 Lebanon Valley College students representing academic departments across campus displayed their academic and creative work to an audience of faculty, peers, trustees, administrators, industry representatives, and friends of the College during the annual Inquiry Symposium.

Lebanon Valley College presented 112 students with awards at the Spring Awards and Recognition Ceremony for academic achievement in the natural sciences, social sciences, or humanities during the annual Inquiry celebration.

This spring, the BW theatre and dance community came together to present "fyoo zh en," the annual dance concert combining choreography with faculty member research. This year's show was inspired by Dr. Swagata Banik's National Institutes of Health-funded public health study "Project SHAKTI: Stigma reduction, Healthcare provider Awareness and Knowledge enhancement on Transgender issues in India."

Joseph Ritzko, a senior mathematics and physics major from Auburn, Pa., has been awarded the Copper Chambliss Student Academic Achievement Award in the category of successfully completed research projects. Joseph alongside his research partner have worked on a project that could save the Borough of Kutztown up to $18,000 over the span of five years. Working with the Kutztown Wastewater Treatment Plant, Joseph and his research partner determined a way to utilize the Methane produced at the plant and use the methane to fuel the operations of the plant. Joseph has presented this research at Math Fest, an annual summer meeting of the Mathematics Association of America, held in Chicago in July 2017. He plans to pursue a career in mathematical research in industry work.

Phi Alpha Epsilon, the College's honor society that recognizes academic achievement and service to others, inducts its new members.

The Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery proudly presents the Studio Art Thesis Exhibition. The showcase, running from April 25-May 12, features the individual work of nine Lebanon Valley College Department of Art & Visual Culture majors.

Morrisville State College recently announced the students who were named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2017 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve an average of 3.0 to 3.99 for the semester and complete 12 credit hours.

Wilkes University students participated in an alternative spring break trip in Costa Rica volunteering with the sports committee of San Marcos. The students worked with the organization to paint the playground, basketball court and assisted with the sand box installation. Isolated from the main provinces of the central valley of Costa Rica, San Marcos and the region of Los Santos have a lack of services and extra curriculum activities for children and youth.

Students traveled to the West Coast and spent spring break traveling with the Wilkes Adventure Education program.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2017 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the fall 2017 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

Hard work in high school has paid off for college-bound seniors. The following students have earned Merit Scholarships to attend Alvernia University in the fall.

Western New England University congratulates 734 students named to the Fall 2017-2018 Dean's List. Students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

More than 1,900 students from Saginaw Valley State University earned a spot on the fall 2017 semester Deans' List.

More than 750 students from Saint Francis University made one of the Fall 2017 Honor's Lists: Provost's or Dean's. To achieve either list, students must have full-time status and attain a quality point average of at least 3.8 (Provost's) or 3.5 (Dean's) for the given semester. More than 90 Wilkes University students will complete internships as part of their academic work in spring semester 2018. Internships complement academic work, provide students with practical experience in their field of study and prepare them to enter careers.

A spectacular evening of ballet, contemporary dance, tap, and jazz, 'Master Choreographers' showcases exciting new dance works performed by more than 60 students and choreographed by nationally and internationally acclaimed guest artists and faculty.

The following students have been named to Alvernia University's Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Students who achieved Dean's List have earned a GPA of 3.65 or higher in the academic semester.

Fifty Alvernia University students have earned competitive awards this fall to explore unique real world learning experiences. Funds are provided through the university's Real-World Experience Award program - geared to expand students' access to experiential learning opportunities in all academic areas.

The University of Scranton announces more than 1,600 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2017 fall semester. The Dean's List recognizes students for academic excellence.

Kutztown University has conferred degrees on more than 475 students during the summer, fall and winter semesters. Kutztown University announces degree conferment twice a year, once in the winter and once in the summer. Commencement exercises are held in May and December; however, students finish the requirements for graduation throughout the entire year. The following students have been awarded degrees since the spring 2017 announcement. The cumulative grade point average necessary for honors distinction is: with honor (cum laude) 3.40; with high honor (magna cum laude) 3.60 and with highest honor (summa cum laude) 3.80. Students listed multiple times have been awarded more than one degree. Students who have requested privacy (FERPA) are not listed publicly.

Under the direction of Scott Plate, a talented cast and crew staged Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" during the fall 2017 semester. In Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, people grow up, get married, live and die in a hauntingly beautiful meditation on the glory of daily existence.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester at Baldwin Wallace University according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean's List.

A total of 1,555 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Fall 2017 semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade "B" earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade "A" earns 4 quality points per credit.

A total of 110 Lebanon Valley student-athletes have been named to the Middle Atlantic Conference's (MAC) Fall Academic Honor Roll. The academic honor roll is comprised of student-athletes who compete in a varsity-level sport and registered a term/semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher.

More than 200 Kutztown University students have been inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success. To be inducted, students must attend an orientation, a three-hour Leadership Training Day, three Success Networking Team Meetings and three Speaker Broadcasts featuring leading figures delivering success-related messages to our members.
